Jeffrey Epstein purchased a smaller island - the Little St James - back in 1998, but subsequently obtained the larger Great St James in the year 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
The released images suggest he had created development schemes to transform the substantial island by building living quarters, an open-air theater, an underwater office and a reservoir.
You can see the drawing is Pillsbury Sound, a marine passage in the territory, indicated on the south-eastern section.
The architectural drawing is marked up in handwritten red notes and features a notes section identifying distinct areas of the property.
Alongside the main plan are what appear to be an additional nine construction diagrams and construction drawings, featuring layouts for boat shelters.
