I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
